This represents a 30% growth in our membership ranks in just one year!  Joining USLacrosse makes a difference!

2nd Annual SWVLA Fundraiser Event

SWVLA Supporters - The SWVLA would like to thank EVERYONE for coming out to our event on Saturday night!  We had 110 people in attendance and raised much needed funds to continue the growth of lacrosse in the programs we support.  Special THANKS go out to some of our area coaches - Bill Pilat (Roanoke College Men's Lacrosse), Katrina Silva (Virginia Tech Women's Lacrosse), Nat St. Laurent (Ferrum College Men's Lacrosse), Josh Wilkinson (Patrick Henry Boys Lacrosse), David Turk (Salem High School Boys Lacrosse).  Other area programs represented were the Lexington Lacrosse Club, Salem Youth Lacrosse Foundation, Hidden Valley Youth Sports Association and South County Lacrosse Club.  The SWVLA appreciates your support!  We also send a special THANKS to our auction item donors - and bidders! We had some great auction items and door prizes and the bidding was FUN!

Lexington Lacrosse announces dates of 2nd Annual Shenandoah Shootout!  April 10-11, 2010. 

This year's Shootout Tournament will again be held in Lexington, Va and games will be played on the wonderful facilities at W&L University, home of the D3 Generals.  The details and registration for tourney are posted on a separate page on this site.  Along with the team tournament, all participants will receive admission to the D1 VMI Keydeys and the St. Joseph's University Hawks!  Last year's tourney was a great success with many fun family activities - food, prizes, etc. and this year it will be even better.  Go the 2010 Shenandoah Shootout page on this site NOW!

Our new chapter service area incorporates the cities of Lynchburg, Lexington, Roanoke, Salem, Rocky Mount, Blacksburg and Christiansburg, Martinsville, and Danville-South Boston - along with many counties contiguous to those cities.  The continued growth and expansion of the game into area high schools will be an area of focus for our chapter and this will be accomplished through access to US Lacrosse resources and aggressive fund-raising activities through which everyone can be involved!  Your donations to the SWVLA are tax-deductible. 

We hope to make THIS website the central place where ALL information about area lacrosse activities and teams can be posted and accessed.  We will rely on YOU to send us any news, information, events, etc that are happening in the area.  We will be diligent in posting the information and maintaining the site to be as informative as possible.
